Wooden Relief Maps
Beginning with USGS Digital Elevation Model data and selected hardwoods, we can create relief maps for any area for which suitable data is available. This currently includes all of the United States at 30 meter horizontal resolution, with some areas available at 10m resolution. Lower resolution (~1km) data suitable for small scale, large area coverage is available for the entire world.
For most purposes, large scale coverage is appropriate. Projects typically cover regions of four to twenty kilometers on a side, but the region size is essentially unlimited. Single-piece maps of up to 37 x 48 x 6 inches can be produced, and larger sizes can be assembled, although the typical project is much smaller, for both economic and practical reasons.
Pricing depends on a number of
factors, including size, structure, and resolution. Custom maps can be quoted
once specifications have been determined. Custom jobs are welcome, whether
for one piece or fifty. Get a map of your favorite ski area, mountain, mountain
range, hunting area or any other interesting geographic feature.
